Sewing Summer Camp

We just added one more week of camp! Together with Play! Hoboken we'll have a full-day specialty sewing summer camp August 12-16 9 am-4 pm. Your kids are going to spend 3 hours each day at Galastella Studio learning to sew and working on the project, except for Thursday - they will go to the pool to swim and will have less time for sewing. Play! Hoboken will provide hot meals. Kids age 6-8 - Hand Sewn Stuffed Animals, Kids age 9 and up - Costumes and Cosplay.

This summer we offer beginner-friendly weeklong sewing camps! In these camps, students will learn to use a sewing machine, and design and create their own garments and accessories. Every week has a different theme, allowing participants to learn different sides of garment making and sewing.  

Kids will be taken to Columbus Park for lunch and break if weather permits. Please pack a nut-free snack and lunch. 

July 22-26 - Summer Dress/Top. We're going to design, choose a pattern, cut and sew a garment using woven fabric.

August 19-23 - Accessoiries. We'll learn about bags, hats, and other types of accessories and make our own. 

August 26-30 - Costumes and Cosplay. Design and make your next Halloween costume, cosplay or just fun creative garment.

Camp details:

Duration: 1 week, 9 am - 3 pm, extended hours available 

Drop off: 8:30 - 9 am

Pick up: 2:30 - 3 pm, extended hours 5:30 - 6 pm

Food: Pack a nut-free snack and lunch

Supplies included: All needed tools, equipment, and materials.

Age: 9-15

Level: Beginner (no experience required)
